The AQUASPRINT Galas

The “Aquasprint Junior Swimming League,” sponsored by Forest Feast,  focusing on promoting swimming at the grassroots level, encouraging young people aged 8 to 12 to engage in competitive sports and lead active, healthy lifestyles. With participation from 26 clubs and 1600 young swimmers, the league operates in five divisions, culminating in finals in June. The sponsorship aligns with Forest Feast’s commitment to fostering fitness and healthy eating among families.   

Competitions run from January to around April, this is just for the Junior section of the club - those born in 2017 to 2012 (subject to change).  

Children are raced in individual age groups:

A  born 2015 

B  born 2014

C  born 2013

D  born 2012

We try to get all those that can attend, at least 1 race 😊 however the fastest swimmers in each age group, for each stroke will still be chosen to race.

This is a free event, however parent/guardians are expected to help time keep, score etc and when galas are at home each participant is also expected to provide sandwiches/sweet treats for after.

The Aquasprint final will be held on the 6th June 2025

In compliance with Swim Ireland best practice set out in the National Competition Pathway, the minimum age of competitors in this League should be  8  years old as of 31 st Decem ber of that calendar year.
